Forklift Driver / Machine Operator needed to join our 2nd shift production team. This role supports manufacturing operations by safely operating forklifts and production machinery while maintaining quality, efficiency, and workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility

• Load and unload materials from trucks and production lines

• Operate and monitor production machinery according to work instructions

• Perform basic machine adjustments and report mechanical issues

• Complete quality checks to ensure product meets specifications

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required (certification a plus)

• Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

• Strong attention to safety and detail

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

• Reliable attendance and ability to work 2nd shift hours

• $18.00 per hour

Job Duties

• Operate industrial equipment, including shredders, extractors, compactors, aerosol puncture devices, and drum washers.
• Sort non-hazardous waste materials such as batteries, light bulbs, and household paint.
• De-package and sort consumer products for proper processing.
• Load and unload trucks using hand carts and barrel carts.
• Occasionally assist with Household Hazardous Waste Collection events at customer sites.

Work Environment & Requirements

• Non-smoking facility.
• No visible piercings allowed during work assignments.
• Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions (hot and cold).
• Must be clean-shaven to properly wear a respirator and other required PPE.

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:15 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:15 AM

• Assemble small hydraulic brass components for trucks and vehicles in the Parker Department.
• Play an essential role in producing and assembling gift cards and picture frames in the Easel and Die Cut Department.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to meet and exceed production goals and deadlines.
• Operate basic assembly tools and machinery with precision and care.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors to report any discrepancies or machine malfunctions.

• Operate injection molding machines in accordance with Work Instructions and guidance from the Lead Operator, Technician, and/or Supervisor.
• Perform visual inspections of molded parts and identify cosmetic or quality defects using the Inspection Instruction Sheet.
• Communicate any molding issues, machine concerns, or part defects to the Technician, Supervisor, or Lead Operator promptly.
• Relay special instructions or quality-related updates to incoming shifts to ensure consistent production and standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, contributing to overall department housekeeping expectations.
• Assist the Lead Operator by providing break coverage for other operators as required.
• Complete additional tasks as needed, including annealing parts, organizing boxed or bagged product, and other general production support duties.

Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of products and materials based on established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Document inspection results accurately, noting defects, nonconformities, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and communicate them clearly to supervisors, production teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform audits of production processes to verify compliance with quality procedures and protocols.
• Provide ongoing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement based on inspection trends and data.
• Maintain complete and accurate inspection records, including photos, sample retainments, and all required documentation.
• Stay informed on applicable industry standards, quality regulations, and best practices.

• Lift and load racks weighing up to 45 lbs onto a conveyor belt each morning.
• Hang parts onto the racks properly for painting while ensuring no dust or debris is present.
• Safely blow off each piece using a blow gun to ensure cleanliness before painting.
• Return racks to their original location at the end of the day.
• Perform cleaning and unloading of parts as needed.

• Overtime until 4:00 pm on weekdays  
• Voluntary overtime on Saturdays until it becomes mandatory (1.5x pay)  
• Overtime on Sundays for hired employees only (2.0x pay)  

• Move, measure, cut, and assemble materials such as OSB, 2"x4" lumber, and pallets to construct crates.
• Operate tools including tape measures, electric and hand saws, air nailers and staplers, hammers, screwdrivers, and more.
• Safely operate a forklift (hilo), with appropriate licensing.

• Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles.
• Handle some goods manually, ensuring careful movement and placement.
• Use forklifts (hilo) and overhead cranes, requiring appropriate licensing.
• Verify and manage incoming and outgoing paperwork to ensure accurate documentation.

• Be prepared to perform additional tasks throughout the facility and grounds as necessary.

• Assist customers by providing detailed technical information and support regarding product lines, including Econo Comp, Standard, Commercial, and Architectural systems.
• Process quotes, orders, and information requests via website, emails, and phone.
• Manage and track orders throughout the process, ensuring timely updates to customers.
• Provide solutions for installation and maintenance issues, and handle post-shipment concerns including technical support, returns, and damage inquiries.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to address customer feedback efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions using CRM systems while ensuring swift response times.
• Stay informed on the latest product developments and industry trends to offer relevant insights.
