Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer / Technical Operations Specialist who can bridge the gap between engineering, production, and customer requirements. This role is ideal for someone who not only understands the technical side of manufacturing—but can also identify opportunities, develop processes, and help bring new products to life from concept to production. If you’re the type who sees a print and immediately thinks “I know how to make this”—this is your role.
What You’ll Do Operational Responsibilities Identify and evaluate new manufacturing opportunities that align with company capabilities Develop and document processes required to successfully produce new products Communicate with customers to gather requirements and support accurate quoting Review quotes vs. purchase orders to ensure alignment and avoid surprises Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, purchasing, and leadership Lead the transition of new jobs into production, ensuring clarity and execution across teams
Technical Responsibilities Interpret and work from various drawing formats (.DWG, STEP, IGES, etc.) Design and develop tooling, including metal stamping dies (single hit and progressive) Calculate and develop flat blanks using bend formulas and related methods Design fixtures, tooling, and special machines as needed Work with and interpret: Apply geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) principles Ensure accuracy in all technical documentation and processes
What We’re Looking For Strong background in manufacturing engineering, tooling, or metal stamping Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Mastercam; SolidWorks experience a plus) Deep understanding of materials, coatings, and finishing processes Experience designing dies, fixtures, or custom equipment Knowledge of tolerances, fits, threads, and fasteners Strong math and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) and file management systems Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with customers
