 Key Responsibilities:

Tool & Equipment Handling

• Unload trucks and gather tools for daily tasks

• Transport rakes, lutes, shovels, and spray cans to paver areas

Operational Support

• Move pavement saws to transverse joints when needed

• Sweep and clean work areas ahead of paving

• Accurately measure and mark areas for paving each day

Traffic & Safety Management

• Serve as a Flagger to guide motorists around work zones safely

Logistical Coordination

• Transport water to rollers, power brooms, and plate compactors

• Assist in creating a stable launchpad for the paver

Team Collaboration

• Support the screed operator with essential tasks

• Shovel materials effectively to the end gate

End-of-Day Duties

• Maintain a clean worksite by sweeping and storing equipment

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required

• Previous experience as an asphalt laborer or flagger 

Skills

• Knowledge of road and traffic safety regulations

• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail

Flexibility

• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and night shifts as needed

• Must be able to travel to various job sites

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work long hours in all types of weather

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical labor
